Alan Sosa Released After Domestic Dispute

The forward of Gimnasia La Plata, Alan Sosa, was released around 2:30 PM after being detained this morning. The detention was the result of a complaint by his partner, Sofía Lujan Szepietowski, who accused him of preventing her from leaving her house after a marital argument. Following the interrogation, the footballer was released as there was no request from the prosecutor's office to keep him detained, although he remains charged and has a contact restriction with the 24-year-old victim.

In the incident, Sosa took the keys of the electric gate from his partner and kept her inside the house, using degrading, disparaging, and threatening words towards her. The situation was categorized as "illegal deprivation of liberty and aggravated coercion due to familial relationship." His lawyer, Flaivo Gliemmo, stated that "he will clarify everything. There are things I saw on social media that are not in the case."

Alan Sosa, born on May 5, 2003, in La Plata, is a regular player for Gimnasia La Plata. He debuted for the team on January 31, 2023. In his first year at the club, he played 14 out of a possible 49 matches in various competitions. In 2024, he was loaned to Aldosivi from Mar del Plata, where he had a standout performance, winning the second division of Argentine football.

This year, Sosa returned to Gimnasia La Plata with the expectation of having an important role in the first team. To date, he has participated in 7 out of the 8 possible matches between the Apertura Tournament and the Copa Argentina. Although he has been a starter in most of the matches, his debut was not favorable, and there have been ups and downs in his performance on the field.

Regarding his legal situation, his lawyer is confident he will be dismissed or acquitted, arguing that he committed no crime.
